Donations

The SeaDoc Society is funded through a public-private partnership that leverages the intellectual and organizational capital of UC Davis and relies on individuals, foundations and research contracts for funding.

Your donation will make a positive contribution to a healthy and sustainable ecosystem for ourselves and generations to come...both wildlife and human.

Other ways to get involved

The best way to get involved in the work of the SeaDoc Society is to spread the word about our programs and help build our reputation in the community.

One great way to do this is to display the SeaDoc sticker on your car, place of business, or other visible location. Please subscribe to our periodic newsletters (below or above) to get information on getting stickers and to stay up to date on our work.

People sometimes ask about volunteer opportunities with the SeaDoc Society. Unfortunately, because of the nature of our work and the demands on our staff, we're not usually able to incorporate volunteers into our projects. We do appreciate the interest, though!

Support Opportunities

Why our work matters

Healthy ecosystems support economic prosperity. The Salish Sea provides abundant natural capital that contributes substantially to the financial prosperity of the region. Unhealthy ecosystems cost money because we lose the opportunity to benefit from them. The Salish Sea's deteriorating health threatens our economic well being and quality of life. SeaDoc uses science to find solutions to the problems facing the fish, wildlife and people of the Salish Sea.
