Map: The Travels of Southern Resident Killer Whale J35 & Her Calf

Southern Resident Killer Whale J35 has carried her dead calf for more than a week, traveling with the rest of her pod as far north as the Fraser River and as far south as Race Rocks in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can navigate her daily route of travel in the map below, which was built using information provided by Soundwatch, a program of The Whale Museum. Soundwatch has closely tracked J35 since her calf was first sighted. The routes represent daytime travel only and are based on field observation, not precise GPS points.
